What is the retainage, and when does it drop to 5%?

Retainage is 10% of each progress payment until the work is 50% complete, then it drops to 5%. Retainage is released within 30 days after substantial completion of the project¹.

Questions

How is this different from a general AI chat app?

Chat apps answer from a handful of files you upload each time. DocuFinds keeps your whole project library indexed, links every answer to the source page, and adds construction-specific tools — contract playbooks, deadline tracking, pay-application checks and extraction tables.

What files can I upload?

PDFs (including scans), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook emails, AutoCAD DWG/DXF, Primavera P6 and MS Project schedules, images and audio recordings. You can drop in whole folders or ZIP files.

Are my documents used to train AI?

No. Your documents and questions are used only to answer your questions and are not used to train AI models.

What happens when I rate an answer or review?

Ratings (👍/👎), the reasons you pick and anything you type in the feedback box are sent to the DocuFinds team, together with the short piece of the review or answer you rated, so we can improve how DocuFinds reviews documents. Your documents are never shared with other customers, and corrections you ask DocuFinds to remember only change your own reviews. Leave confidential details out of feedback comments.
